Account Manager

Cargill Premix & Nutrition develops, manufactures and sells customized animal nutrition products and services for customers primarily focused on beef, dairy, ruminants, poultry and swine. With 56 production centers in 31 countries, it also provides technical services, technology licensing, software and management services to customers. Some of its branded products include Provimi?, Akey?, Vigortone?, Citura?, Neolait?, Nutral? and Nutron?.?The Account Manager will be a member of US Citura Team, aligned closely with the US Strategic Marketing and Technology (SMT) and Commercial Species teams. The position?s primary focus is to grow the additives business, which is a key part of the CPN US business portfolio. This position will be responsible for selling a strategic portfolio of technical additives, and facilitating the ingredient sales process with selected accounts.? The successful candidate will work closely with multiple teams to champion compelling additive offerings for customers in selected segments and ensure results are achieved. ?Principal Accountabilities:?60% Additive Sales Execution:? The position will be responsible for selling technical additives to non-nutrition accounts through the Citura Go-To-Market Brand.? Position will work closely with the Additive Sales Leader to identify target accounts and their needs, and sell key offerings from the additive portifolio to meet customer needs. Develop effective strategies to ensure account needs are met with sustainable growth and profitability for Cargill and the customer.? Demonstrate proficiency in technical and value added selling.? ?10% Ingredient Sales Facilitation:? Position will facilitate ingredient sales by connecting key account purchasing managers with Citura?s Ingredient Sales Team in Brookville, Ohio and ensuring effective communication occurs between the two parties?15% Product Positioning:? Work closely with strategic marketing and technology teams to help identify and prioritize product growth and new product development opportunities through customer feedback and insights on customer needs.?10% Technical Collaboration:? Engage with appropriate technical support specialists for key additives to achieve the required level of technical support to sell and service key customers.? Engage SMT teams as they develop and validate additives value proposition, including input on tools, services, and products. ?5% Coordination and Communication: Communicate with Commercial Species Account Managers to ensure effective coordination of sales activities where potential overlap exists between Nutrition and Non-Nutrition sales. Communicate all activies to management to ensure alignment of strategies and activies to achieve success for the overall business.?Skills:
Required Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree in Nutrition, Animal Science, Ag Business or closely related field
3 or more years of sales experience within animal nutrition or an agricultural field.
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time depending on business needs
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency with customer interfaces
Demonstrable experience or aptitude for understanding and explaining application of performance additives and/or related technologies to technical and commercial audiences
Organized, self-starter with demonstrable aptitude to set and follow priorities, and manage multiple concurrent projects, and increase financial contribution from products
Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people who play technical, sales, and functional support roles
Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully solve business problems in a customer-focused environment?Preferred Qualifications:MS in Nutrition or related field
Experience in sales or marketing, related to performance additives or similar high value nutrition products
