CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Agronomy division. Our wholesale Crop Nutrient?s group is looking for an energetic self-starter to become our new Account Manager in the Midwest Region. You will establish CHS as the preferred supplier in the Dakota?s. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be customer focused with the ability to build long-lasting business relationships. Within the Agronomy division, our Crop Nutrient?s team is a leading wholesale distributor of crop nutrients who has relationships with suppliers in more than 20 countries to maintain a stable fertilizer supply. CHS maintains a fertilizer distribution import and distribution system with a deep-water port at Galveston, Texas, and river facilities from Louisiana to Minnesota. We offer crop nutrients to our customers through owned or leased fertilizer terminals and through strategic joint ventures with member cooperatives throughout the United States. As an Account Manager within the Agronomy division, you will join a team dedicated to our tradition of partnership and shared success. This means building long-lasting customer and business relationships.

You will:Oversee sales of Crop Nutrients in assigned territory.Establish CHS as the preferred supplier. Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve company objectives.Promote sales, introduce the Crop Nutrient programs and provide account service.Develop new business and grow existing business to meet regional & personal goals.Prepare and conduct sales presentations, contracts and proposals.Develop and maintain business relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.Communicate marketing, supply and sales information to customers.Oversee and evaluate market research, adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.Manage budget and expenses, forecast product supply and demand by accounts.Evaluate account credit needs and extend credit in accordance with CHS policies. Monitor credit liability and manage the collection of accounts receivable.Work with customers on managing third-party warehousing agreements.Partner with your Crop Nutrients colleagues, as well as the entire CHS Enterprise.Evaluate market research, adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market & competitive conditions.Establish and maintain relationships with key industry, strategic community partners and be involved with state and industry associations.Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in Ag Business, Agronomy or related fieldProficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Must be available to travel 50% of the time within the designated territory.You must live within the region you are assigned.
