Account Manager- Bird Food
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Processing and Food Ingredients division. We are looking for a Bird Food Account Manager to promote and represent the sales and marketing of the full CHS bird food product portfolio, finding new business opportunities and development of new market channels. You must be a highly motivated and entrepreneurial leader with a commitment to building relationships, teambuilding, innovation, ethical decision making and driving execution. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strategic thinking and planning skills, negotiation skills and financial acumen are necessary. You will:Strategically identify, develop, present and close new business opportunities by clearly understanding customer needs and expectations.Ensure an on-going, market focus to build strong relationships with customers in order to establish the credibility required to maintain the business of customers.Maintain current customers by making periodic visits, providing information and guidance, recommending new opportunities and service improvements as well as resolving problems to meet or exceed customer requirements.Develop and drive a formal and informal market research process for various segments to analyze and evaluate current and future customer needs. Possess a deep understanding of the bird food industry and actively monitor and act upon changes relevant to customer, market, competition and internal capabilities.Drive incremental sales in assigned accounts utilizing sales strategies and objectives established to increase market share, maximize sales revenues while increasing profit margins and ensuring excellent customer service.Grow and implement integrated supply chain management programs with customers to develop a broad base relationship with external customer departments and identify opportunities to provide selling solutions. Oversee logistics and planning by working closely with the logistics team to evaluate logistics scheduling and freight rates. Provide exceptional customer service leading to the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.Provide budget/forecast/projections of sales and attend to other administrative matters in a timely manner.Travel up to 35%.Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree5 plus years of experience in bird food sales, commodity marketing, companion pet food sales or in a related industrySales experience in related retail or wholesale distributionBusiness to business sales experienceAbility to travel up to 35% Preferred Qualifications: (desired)Bachelor?s degree in business, marketing, or related fieldBasic understanding of commodity marketsUnderstanding of logisticsApply for this job.
