Account Manager, California
?BASIC FUNCTION?The Account Manager, reporting to the General Manager ? California, is responsible for the sale and support of Milk Quality and Animal Health (MQAH) products, as well as liners and tubes, and farm supplies in California. ?The Account Manager will spend a majority of their time on the farm working with our customers.?RESPONSIBILITIESSales (70%):?Develop and grow long-term business relationships with dairy farmers in CaliforniaAchieve sales targets monthly, quarterly and yearlyCold calling to arrange meetings with potential customersLeverage marketing intelligence from what competitors do in the marketSupport the General Manager in key customer sales presentationsCustomer Support (30%):?Deliver trainings to dealers and dairy farmers on both the commercial and technical aspects of the productProvide technical assistance on the farmREQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES?A successful candidate will have the ability to serve as a dairy consultant ? understanding the issues on the farm and providing appropriate solutions based on DeLaval?s product linesStrong communicator with the ability to influence othersCompetitive and outgoing, sales and technically orientedWorks well individually as well as in a teamAbility to travel up to 10% of the time (outside of territory)EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND?B.A./B.S. in Animal Science, Sales, Marketing, or other relevant degree preferred3-5 years of sales experience in closely related product area requiredBilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferredExperience with CIP wash strongly preferredApply for this job.
