?BASIC FUNCTION:DeLaval is seeking a talented individual to serve as an Account Manager within DeLaval Cleaning Solutions (DCS). ?An Account Manager (AM) is responsible for the oversight, service and partnership building with customers in their geographically assigned area. ?They are also responsible for prospecting new business in food processing industry segments in their geographic area. ?The Account Manager reports to the Regional Manager.?RESPONSIBILITIES:Promote retention and expansion of sanitation programs within existing customer accounts.Regular service and auditing of customer locations to ensure quality performance, support favorable operating costs, and identify customer needs and project initiatives.Train customer personnel in sanitation procedures, chemical safety, and best practices.Prepare and present customer reports from site visits, documenting observations, critical concerns, action items taken, action items needed, and best practices observed.Schedule and coordinate business reviews with key customer locations, reporting to customer management activities and actions being taken to add value to their operations.Prospect and secure new account sales in selected markets.Coordinate equipment installations, start-ups, and service needs with customer and DeLaval Engineering support.Serve as liaison between customers and DeLaval business operations, helping to coordinate product delivery schedules, billing discrepancies, & other matters related to effective customer relationship management.Achieve annual sales targetsProvide monthly sales forecasts to Regional Manager.Regularly maintain sales opportunity funnel with prospects.Manage expenses.Provide assistance to other DCS personnel, as required; participate in industry trade events.WHAT DELAVAL OFFERS:Competitive salary and benefitsUncapped income growth potential as you drive salesVehicle reimbursement programPart of a leading, global organization with tremendous career development opportunitiesWorking in a collaborative team environment where your actions make a differenceREQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:A successful candidate has the ability to build and manage a strong portfolioHas knowledge in food and dairy processing; specifically related to CIP, H/P, foam and other methods employed in chemical sanitationGood spoken and written communication skillsStrong presentation and negotiation skillsExcellent organization / time management skillsProven relationship management and consultative skillsProblem solving ability to determine customer solutionsSelf-motivated and driven for resultsWilling to travel; travel depends on the territory and customer mix and ranges from 20-50%; some overnight travel includedA valid US. Driver?s License and acceptable DMV record is requiredEXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:BA/BS in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology and/or Business preferred3+ years of demonstrated successful performance in B2B commercial sales preferred.Knowledge of food & beverage industry or sanitation industry preferredExperience/competency with Microsoft Office preferredStrong business and financial acumen preferred
