Account Manager/AVPConterra Asset Management – West Des Moines, IA ? Eastern Corn belt?Conterra Asset Management is a dynamic agricultural business involved in managing and extending credit to agricultural producers nationwide. A sophisticated understanding of financial accounting, financial analysis and agricultural production is needed for this open position.? This position provides analysis, review and general credit functions by performing the following duties:Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)Conduct an advanced level of analysis of customer requests and associated financial position to ascertain creditworthiness, including reconciliation of financial statements and analysis of income, cash flow, and repayment ability. Accounts may include complex lending structures and multi-lender transactions.Reviews all pertinent credit and financial information; determines the need for more thorough investigation or additional information; analyzes statements and related material; prepares summaries, present facts, and offers opinions concerning credit worthiness.? Prepares complete credit reports.Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of individual or company being evaluated with similar establishments to determine risk.Work with operations team to understand quantitative and qualitative information to balance credit risk with portfolio growth.Analysis of customer requests to ensure that recommendations adhere with the Company?s credit standards and guidelines.Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting systems for large loans, individually or as a portfolio.Assist with the development and implementation of credit procedures.Communicate independently with other company personnel and contacts outside the company with limited supervision.Compile reports regarding finance and credit data.Types of credits may include agricultural production, services provided to the agricultural industry, and/or agricultural processing operations.? Experience/QualificationsThe following desired experience is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:Bachelor?s degree in business, finance, agricultural economics from an accredited college or university.Minimum of 5 -10 years of credit experience in a commercial and/or ag lending industry.Knowledge of crop and livestock industries and production practices.Competency in financial analysis, understanding the interrelationship of the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow.Advanced knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment.Proven problem solving and analytical skills.Knowledge of web-based programs, software and database applications and technologies.?Apply for this job.
