Account Representative – Energy Equipment
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Energy Equipment department for an entry-level Account Representative.
You must have strong problem solving skills and be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
In addition, you must be able to work independently, multi-task several projects in a short time period and work in a fast paced environment. You will:Increase sales through consultative selling and personal sales targets.
Maintain and grow customer relationships.Process inbound sales calls and manage the basics of the energy equipment business.Make product recommendations and provide quotes in a B2B setting for a wide range of propane and refined fuels equipment products used in agriculture, commercial, residential and retail environments.
Assist the Energy Equipment Account Managers with their customers and projects, as needed.Manage the electronic email inboxes which includes registering customers for the online shopping cart, processing customer faxed orders and manage vendor acknowledgements. Oversee the printing, reviewing and processing of electronic vendor invoices for payment. Contact prospective new customers and qualify leads for sales team and work with other departments on projects and marketing campaigns.Partner with other sales team members and supervisors to achieve Energy Equipment sales goals by attending conventions, trade shows, customer update meetings which may include some overnight travel.Sell, quote and manage domestic propane tank inventory for CHS remote stock locations. Must be available to travel 10% of their time within the designated territory.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree Ability to travel up to 10% within the designated territoryPreferred Qualifications: (preferred)Up to 5 years sales experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointFarm or energy equipment sales experienceProficient in JD Edwards or SAPKnowledge of the agricultural cooperative system
