CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division. We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team. You must be able to make decisions, prioritize tasks, able to work with cutoffs and work independently. You must have excellent communication, both verbal and written.You will:Perform all required steps to attest the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial statements and management reports for the assigned locations.Run, verify, and distribute final monthly financial statements to plant managers, regional directors, and appropriate management.Review & verify the daily amounts transferred from the MAPICS system and batches from the payroll are correct & processed.Process daily deposits for all assigned locations and verify against daily AR reports.Prepare monthly reconciliation for designated location control accounts and make necessary re-class entries.Prepare and distribute monthly key stats reports to appropriate management personnel.Perform all required steps to attest the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial statements.Reconcile miscellaneous payable and receivable accounts to assure monthly financial reports are accurate. Investigate and document any recurring balances and report to supervisor.Review and process patron adjustments, inter-division memos, and bi-monthly line settlement entries and reports.Review and process miscellaneous checks for assigned area.Backup for selected duties for other staff members.Assist in preparation and verifying auditor schedules for fiscal year-end audit process and provide support to division management as neededWork with local management to get accurate information and prepare monthly Ingredient to Market adjustments for locations as neededPerform annual SOX audits.Handle any credit balance payment requests, clear existing balance and prepare check requests.Assist with various projects as needed.Travel up to 20% of the time.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in accounting / financeUp to 2 years of experience working with financial statement preparation and GL systemsExperience with Accounts Payable and Receivable.Experience working with daily deadlines, month-end, quarter end, and year end reportsKnowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Proficient with MS Word & ExcelAbility to travel up to 20% of the timePreferred Qualifications: (desired)SAP experienceBlackLine experienceAgriculture industry knowledge or experienceApply for this job.
