This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day of the North America accounting activities for the Treasury & the Emerging Markets Trading groups. The position collaborates frequently with Accounting, Trading and Operations personnel in multiple international geographies. Individuals will also participate in ad hoc project work that includes designing value-added, efficient processes and controls. Candidates that demonstrate curiosity, conceptual strength, accountability, persistence, and a desire to learn about various financial derivative products carry the intangible skills necessary to succeed in this position. Principal Accountabilities 30% – Execute daily accounting activities for the Long Term Debt-Heding book and for the Emerging Markets Trading-Trading Group books 20% – Perform month-end close functions and financial reporting requirements 10% – Produce Management Reporting 10% – Review and analysis of Admin expenses 10% – Execute the accounting activities for the Treasury Canada book 10% – Provide back-up coverage for other members of the accounting team 5% – Participate in accounting related projects and respond to ad-hoc requests 5% – Any other duties as assigned This position is posted internally as well as externally?Skills:
Required. 4-year university degree, BS or BA in accounting or finance Minimum of 2 years accounting experience Strong analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Excel Demonstrated initiative and ability to effectively manage workload in a growth business Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to effectively work cross functionally with accounting, trading, documentation, tax, legal and operations personnel in multiple geographies Preferred. Preference for public accounting experience or previous fund accounting, hedge fund or financial services experience Experience with IRIS, Summit and JDE Experience with accounting for trading securities and derivative assets.
