CGB Enterprises Inc. is seeking an energetic, innovative candidate to work in our Accounting department. The Accountant works for the Controller in recording insurance transactions and preparing financial statements. Basic Job Description: Assist in the region's financial operations and grain accounting functions by safeguarding company assets and production of timely accounting reports and statements.
Primary Job Duties
Assists in all phases of closing and reporting including: preparation of journal entries, analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, analysis of variances in income statements and balance sheet accounts. *
Ensures compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures *
Maintain appropriate recurring journal entries, accruals, and prepaid schedules where necessary *
Reconciles A/P and A/R *
Prepares audit schedules for annual external audits
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office *
Strong written and verbal communication skills *
Strong analytical skills *
Understanding of Financial Statements *
Must prefer a team environment *
One year accounting experience preferred. Related industry experience highly preferred. *
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Travel Required: 10 to 15% of time will be spent traveling to locations within the region.
