SUMMARY: This position is responsible for various accounting functions in the department to include, but not limited to, feed mill accounting and breeder/pullet accounting. The successful candidate takes the lead to get the results that are needed, ensuring that all aspects are efficient and accurate. The candidate will be the go-to person for anything related to breeder/pullets, and a backup to the feed desk. Tyson Foods is an awesome place to work where you can grow and learn and contribute to a great team!Responsibilities: Accurate and timely transmitting of feed ticket information into GIS; reconciling feed mill ingredient and finished feed inventories and transactions; reconciling breeder/pullet medication and merchandise inventories, breeder/pullet account reconciliations and any required journal entries; accurate grower pay; collaborating with others in all aspects of breeder/pullet accounting. The successful candidate must be able to master all aspects of grow-out accounting in order to provide support; other duties may be assigned.Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, and coordinating with others. Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others. This position has set policies and procedures in place for the performance of those duties, and good judgment and proper documentation must be used at all times.REQUIREMENTS:Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Experience: 3+ years of verifiable accounting experience.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; must be proficient at MS Office & Excel; must possess good data entry skills in Excel spreadsheets and be able to audit and make changes to Excel formulas; SAP and GIS experience preferred.
