As a customer-owned cooperative, our compensation and benefit programs are designed to align the success of our members with the employee’s success.    EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:High School Diploma JOB REQUIREMENTS:At least one year of experience in accounting or an accounting related field including cash management, accounts receivable, and/or general ledger processing. FUNCTIONS:Operates specific accounting system applications for data entry, information retrieval and/or inquiry.Verify accuracy and completeness of repetitive accounting documents, identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and determine appropriate course of action according to established procedures.Processes payments received; reconciles daily deposits and applications; and verifies application processing.Prepares application of funds received for application to loans or for crediting to general ledger accounts.Prepares assigned vender invoices for payment on a timely basis.Assists in maintaining accounting procedures and related documentation as well as communicating the information to loan accounting users.Supports the efforts of the records retention function and assists with scanning and organization of documentation to be retained.Provides administrative support including office supply ordering, credit card issuance, and other duties as needed. PREFERRED SKILLS:General knowledge of accounting/financial systems.Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles.Skill in oral and written communication.Basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to perform accounting data entry, information retrieval and/or inquiry under close supervision. POSTING DATE:March 28, 2019 CLOSING DATE:April 11, unless extended at the sole discretion of Capital Farm Credit. TO APPLY:A completed application and resume are required.      At the discretion of CFC, position may be offered at alternate titles and other business experience may be considered relevant.AA/EOE/M/F/D/V; Full description available on request.
