SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the reconciliation of outside purchases for resale to inventory and to inner-company purchases; preparing journal entries and managing re-classes for several accounts; researching outstanding issues and facilitating communication with various departments to solve problems in timely a manner; managing and maintaining accounting database for different selling groups and minor lines of products; assisting senior accountants in preparing monthly and quarterly margin reports; and utilizing SAP-ERP Accounting software to prepare various weekly and monthly reports. This position will work a minimum of 20 hours per week during school, and up to 40 hours during summer. This internship has the potential to gain a full-time position based on performance and job availability after graduation.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Must be currently enrolled in college. Accounting major required.Experience: Previous work experience in any field.Computer Skills: Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access. Strong computer skills, with the ability to multi-task.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and writing skills.
