Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, the AP Representative, Retail, Payments will be responsible for processing payments for various business units in a timely and proper manner. Key Tasks:Process all company pay cycles on a weekly basis, including payments with special handling requestsEnsure all necessary manual signatures have been obtained for high dollar checks to ensure internal controls are metEnsure that weekly pay cycles do not exceed cash budget provided by Treasury. Communicate critical cash needs with Treasury as soon as being made aware.Upload daily files, including payment selections, payment exclusions, and payment registers, to SharePointCommunicate promptly and professionally with key stakeholders, including other Accounts Payable teams, regarding status of invoice payment, check requests, and utility payments Research, identify root cause, and provide recommendations for resolution of payment issues, including early or late payments in systems of recordAssist with critical business account issues in an expedited fashion, engaging appropriate personnel; Ability to complete critical and emergent requests in a time-sensitive manner. Any other job responsibilities as required at the Company’s discretionSkills:Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, specifically accounts payable and payments process workflow Strict attention to detail, developed problem solving skills, logical & critical thinking skillsHigh personal accountability Experience and comfort with computer systems Self-motivated. Ability to manage own time to achieve deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively and professionally in a team environmentAbility to work in high pressure environment with competing deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to adhere to company policies and documented processes without exceptionStrict adherence to confidentialityDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
