This HR Advisor Compensation must develop key partnerships with the Nutrien Corporate Total Rewards team, and will support the Trinidad Nutrien site in the delivery of the compensation programs to leaders and employees, ensuring Trinidad Nutrien’s workforce is positioned competitively and administered internally in an effective and equitable manner. This position supports the Sr Mgr. HR Business Relations and the HR team in providing subject matter expertise on wage rates, base pay, and short and long-term incentives.  What you will do: CompensationProvide guidance and expertise to support the business in issues related to compensationProvides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programsParticipate in and contribute to the design and development of compensation policies and programs, including communication and implementation of the sameLead efforts to transfer knowledge on compensation programs and processes across the business through transparent discussion and effective listeningDevelop techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting compensation dataLead annual salary review exerciseMonitor regulatory changes and competitive practices through independent research and networking with external peers and bring forward recommendations for discussionRecommend survey participation and complete local survey submissionsProvide subject-matter expertise to the HR Shared Service Center in the administration of the compensation framework within the HRIS (SAP)Contribute to the corporate budgeting and accrual process for compensation related spendingBenefits administrationProvide support to payroll and benefit administration requirementsEnsure effective and timely administration of the HR components of payroll and benefits administrationRecruitment and ResourcingProvide guidance in developing job descriptions and in determining salaries for new hires and promotionsAssist in conducting interviews for external hires ER, IR and Employee EngagementProvide support towards external Corporate Social Responsibility initiativesSupport employee engagement activities in the team such as Employee Long Service awards and Employee Club events Performance ManagementProvide assistance during the annual Performance Assessment Exercise, ensuring timely completionAssist in the evaluation of data from Performance Assessments to assist managers in decision making What you will bring:Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related Business/Social Science degreeAt least 12 years of broad human resources experience, with no less than 8 years in compensation program design and administrationDemonstrated experience working with and influencing others to resolve complex and sensitive compensation challengesExperience successfully leading projects from concept through design, communication, and systems implementationExperience in suing software tools to extract, analyze and present data (experience with SAP HR preferred)Certification in Compensation E.g. World at WorkExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated ability to influence outcomes with stakeholders at all levelsStrong change management and leadership skillsExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to formulate recommendations and work with a high degree of autonomyStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively under tight timelinesHigh level of computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)Are you a good match?
