CPA is a plus- Strong technical accounting background- At least 5-7 years general accounting experience is desired- Manufacturing experience is a plus- Strong excel and database skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong organizational skills- Team player and have the ability to work independently- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization JOB DESCRIPTION: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for an Agricultural General Ledger Accountant/Office Manager who is responsible for maintaining general ledgers, creating journal entries and assembling supporting documentation, as well as for tracking the contents of accounts, creating portions of the financial statements, and writing related disclosures and managing a small office staff. Experience in farm, ranch and feed mill operations is desired. Principal Responsibilities include:- Maintain general ledgers for multiple entities (Currently QuickBooks)- Prepare and distribute weekly payroll- General HR functions- Supervise clerical and administrative staff- Maintain a master list of monthly journal entries- Record supporting information for all journal entries- Enter all journal entries into the accounting software- Create recurring journal entry templates- Ensure that recurring entries occur and are changed or terminated at appropriate trigger points- Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing- Monthly/Quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis- Monthly expense variance analysis- Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance with internal policies- Maintain property and depreciation schedules- Maintain and reconcile detailed listings of the contents of all balance sheet accounts- Various regulatory reports, e.g. payroll, sales and use tax returns, etc.- Interface with various other business functions, including manufacturing, sales / marketing, etc. BENEFITS: Health Insurance, Paid Vacation ALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
