Ag/Commercial Loan Officer
Responsible for maintaining, expanding and actively building new client relationships that will promote and enhance growth and profitability. Maintain solid underwriting quality and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and bank policies.
Essential Duties: Calls on existing and potential customers to develop new business opportunities.
Originates new and renewed agricultural and commercial loans.
Reviews and analyzes credit requests to conform to underwriting guidelines.
Structures standard and non-standard credit request and seeks approval for exceptions to credit policy.
Prepares and closes loans in accordance with regulations and documentation guidelines.
Manages loans within established loan portfolio to retain high loan quality level and compliance with all laws and regulations relating to the lending function and internal loan policy.
Manages problem loans to maximize recovery to the Bank.
Maintains credit files with current financial information and calling effort reports.
Creates an environment where staff is motivated to perform at their best.
Promotes bank products and services by identifying and communicating opportunities to customers.
Assists other employees/departments/branches to promote teamwork and good communication.
Promotes a positive bank image through community involvement.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Education & Experience
* Bachelor”s degree in business, agriculture, finance, or related field. * A minimum of 3 years of bank experience required with emphasis in Ag Lending.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Working knowledge of lending regulations, compliance, and procedures * Ability to effectively communicate with prospective and current clients and other professionals * Demonstrated time management skills, particularly establishing and executing a plan of action. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Organizational skills that facilitate working under pressure and performing several tasks simultaneously in an accurate manner. * Progressive, positive work history.Reach out to have a confidential conversation.
