Job Summary:An Agronomy Sales Associate is responsible for coordinating the sale of supply products and services that will optimize company's market share, efficiency and profitability. The Agronomy Sales Associate will work with growers to promote the proper use of crop protection products, crop nutrients, seed and other services offered by the company, through the utilization of on-farm sales presentations. These duties must be achieved all while upholding company's mission, goals and values, and ultimately result in outstanding customer service.Essential Duties:Lead and initiate sales calls with target growers in an assigned area to promote company's products and servicesEmploy a majority of available time with growers at their operations, in an effort to earn their businessConduct interactions with growers in a courteous and professional mannerCreate, recommend and market specific agronomy programs for target accounts, with the goal of increasing agronomy businessUtilize seed, Progressive Crop Technology products, precision farming solutions and other marketing tools to grow market shareEstablish and maintain “State of the Art” knowledge of agronomy practices, and the ability to promote and implement these practices with growersIdentify with team strengths and utilize in improving efficiency and profitabilityCoordinate with location managers/dispatchers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of product and servicesSubmit reports in a timely, accurate manner, as required by the managerAdhere to compliance of all national and state agronomy regulationsPromote and uphold company's safety culture; in addition to governmental regulationsAccept responsibility for personal development in professional sales skills and technical trainingMaintain and develop technology, time management and communication skillsMeet with manager semi-annually to discuss and evaluate job expectations and responsibilitiesPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in an agricultural field. (E.g.
