USD #399 Paradise-Natoma-Waldo is now accepting applications for a Jr/Sr High Agriculture Education teacher and FFA Advisor.?Natoma has two pathways: Power, Structural & Technical and Comprehensive Ag. Current class offerings include 8th-grade Ag Explorations, Agriscience, Plant and Soil Science, Animal Science, Ag Mechanics, Ag Fabrications, Agribusiness, and Ag Leadership. The agriculture education classroom was renovated in 2017, and the welding/mechanics shop is well equipped, including a MegaFab Pirhana P65 Ironworker purchased in 2013. Students in the program are active in supervised agricultural experiences and leadership activities.?The FFA chapter enjoys excellent support from the community, the local board of education, and school administration. A National Convention trip is organized every other year. The chapter is active in community service projects and is competitive at the district and state levels, with the greenhand team winning the Northwest District Sweepstakes in the 2018-19 school year. Natoma High School is looking to hire a motivated individual who will carry on the strong tradition of excellence in providing career and leadership opportunities rooted agriculture for students in our district.The position includes a 20-day supplemental contract along with FFA advisor supplemental pay. It?is located in North Central Kansas containing 439 square miles.? The district is unique in that it encompasses parts of four counties: ?Russell, Osborne, Rooks, and Ellis. The district is currently on a four day school week with classes running from 8:00 a.m. ? 4:00 p.m. Monday ? Thursday.Two attendance centers are in use in Natoma.?
