For more information about us please visit purposeThis role is responsible for implementing Syngentas AgriEdge program to progressive growers within the Commercial Unit. This will be accomplished by positioning Syngentas products; developing relationships with growers and retailers in the identified geography; contributing to development and expansion of the program.AccountabilitiesImplement/administer AgriEdge to include sales, marketing, technical, CRM, and service Provide training, business planning, and technical support to enrolled growers Identify additional opportunities to grow revenue and share in crop markets Develop unique offers to leverage AgriEdge brand pillars and to build the AgriEdge brand Support retailers and value partners who participate in AgriEdge Excelsior and AgriEdge co-offers Align efforts to complement district(s) sales goals Analyze program data, develop value propositions, and manage exposure of use program Serve as AgriEdge business expert to aligned sales districtKnowledge, experience & capabilitiesCritical knowledgeA broad knowledge of Syngentas product portfolio and of corresponding crop markets The ability to recognize competitive activities in the marketplace and respond effectively to minimize impact without compromising profitability targets General sales, marketing and technical skills; knowledge of agricultural market; knowledge of customers and distribution channels; agronomic and crop marketing expertiseCritical experienceThis position requires a Bachelors degree, preferably in agricultural-related field The candidate must demonstrate leadership, innovative thinking, and calculated risk-taking The candidate must have experience in sales, marketing, and customer relationsCritical technical, professional and personal capabilities Customer Focus: Must be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of external customers and clients; obtain first-hand customer information and use it for improvements in products and services;establish and maintain effective relationships with customers to gain their trust and respectBusiness Acumen: Must know how businesses work; be knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization; know the competition; be aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.Resilience: Must be able to recover rapidly from adversity, change or misfortunate; must have the ability to bounce back from difficult situations; have the capacity to make realistic plans and take steps to carry them out; candidate must have a positive view of self and confidence in his/her strengths and abilitiesIntegrity and Trust: Must be widely trusted; seen as a direct, truthful individual; can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner; keeps confidences; admits mistakes; does not misrepresent him/herself for personal gainDrive for Results: Can be counted on to successfully exceed goals; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; is very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for resultsCandidate must:work effectively both alone and within a team settingpossess strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbaldemonstrate excellent sales and negotiations skillshave strong computing skills and adapt easily to new technologyexhibit patience and disciplinebe an exceptional time managerbe adept at teachingarticulate new and innovative ideas/strategy recommendations based on grower needsinteract well with field personnel to ensure consistency in customer service without duplicating effortCritical success factors & key challengesEstablishing or building customer relationships, moving towards a more integrated offer modelAdditional informationOperating expenses are managed within budget Grower pull through strategies are implemented and measured for effectivenessTravel Requirements: 50%A minimum of 2 years in current position is required for internal applicantsAll applicants must be eligible to work in the USInnovationsEmployee may, as part of his/her role and maybe through multifunctional teams, participates in the creation and design of innovative solutions.
