The Conserv FS vision is to be the best, most innovative and diversified agricultural cooperative.??PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Responsible for the development and implementation of the agronomy marketing plan, the profitability of the agronomy department, the agronomy department sales focus and the supervision of the agronomy department personnel.??SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP?Supervises, leads, and develops the assigned crop specialists and crop associate?s personnel to successfully grow the company?s business by providing leadership, setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and actively maintaining performance management standards.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Develops and implements agronomy marketing plans including marketing communications, strategic plans, and target budgets.?Responsible for the profitability of the agronomy department through target marketing, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, continual management and evaluation of people and structure, managing fixed assets and inventories.?Develops and implements an effective sales administration plan that includes setting expectations, training, regular in-field coaching, measuring results, and follow-up.?Assists sales specialists on mid to large prospective sales calls and current ?key? accounts.?Develops annual sales goals and key objectives that align with organizational goals and objectives through collaboration with assigned product sales team, oversees implementation and is responsible for outcome.?Works with operations manager on management of fixed assets and inventories.?Responsible for ensuring assigned product sales team comply with government regulatory requirements, safety standards and company policies and procedures.?Responsible for ensuring company credit policies and procedures are followed within assigned product sales team.?Promotes cross selling efforts between all department salespeople within the assigned territory.??OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Recruits, selects, and retains quality personnel. Trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplinesemployees to develop individual talents.?Conducts and assists with training and informational meetings.?Assists with the development of the company budget by forecasting sales volumes, project margins and expense items.Supports and contributes to total company goals and objectives through collaboration efforts.?Follows Conserv FS?s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.?Performs all other duties as assigned.??REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires a Bachelor?s degree in business or related area or the equivalent thereof, and 6 years or more of business related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to demonstrate advanced marketing skills and sales leadership, supervisory skills, generate profitable sales, build a repeat customer base, and gain market share.Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license, satisfactory driving record, and have the ability to travel independently and overnight.?Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant.Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable professional certifications associated with the agronomy industry (CCA).Prefer an understanding of Conserv FS agronomy division products and services.Occasionally exposed or required to:?Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measuresMay be required to work at varying heightsLift up to 50 lbs.Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Conserv FS?s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.?We are an equal opportunity employer, including protected veterans and qualified individuals with disabilities.
