COMPANY: Heritage FSHIRING MANAGER: Amy RomshekLOCATION: Herscher, ILJob Summary: The purpose for this position is to maximize profitable sales through efficient and effective use of assigned resources. The position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the assigned employees and assets. Plant Manager will be under the supervision of the Area Manager. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for managing all operations at ag retail supply location. Schedules maintenance of facility and equipment. Responsible for inventory and distribution of products. Supervise both full-time and part-time operations personnel. Maintains a high level of employee, facility, and equipment image. Leads facility in obtaining goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs. Assist in developing the location budget and asset needs. Utilize personnel and equipment to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction. Work with Operations Manager on all safety and compliance issues. Attend all training meeting, schools and seminars as assigned. All other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Normally requires a 2 or 4-year degree in an agriculture-related field. 1 3 years experience working in ag retail or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must understand basic business principals of inventory management and personnel supervision. Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Prefer experience with agronomy or petroleum products. Excellent customer relations and service skills. Experience leading safety and business improvement strategies. Must have the appropriate driver s license for the types of vehicles that will be required in order to perform all the duties assigned and to maintain that license throughout the length of employment. Must obtain all other licenses and or certification as required in order to perform the required duties. Must pass the D.O.T. physical and drug test one week prior to employment and continue to pass these tests anytime required thereafter while employed with the company. Must be able to lift a minimum of sixty pounds over your head of any equipment or product and be able to position that product in any area required by a patron or supervisor. Must be able to get in and out of, as well as operate, all required vehicles and equipment. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and steps, walk on platforms, etc. at required heights to perform as required. Must have the ability to stay overnight(s) from time to time as required. Must be willing and able to tolerate working hours beyond those usually considered normal . Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and temperatures. Must have a working knowledge or willing to learn all of applicable company computer programs as needed. Must reside within or be willing to relocate to within 20 miles of HFS location served.
