Agronomy Sales Specialist
JOB TITLE: Agronomy Sales SpecialistREPORTS TO: Agronomy Marketing ManagerFLSA STATUS: ExemptLOCATION: SutherlandSUMMARY: Full time salesman will sell services and products in a manner that will optimize the cooperative’s market share and savings, improve the cooperative’s efficiency, help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Promote Sales and Agronomy Service. Responsibilities involve sales, inventory, reporting, maintenance, and other duties as assigned by management. A positive attitude will be maintained that promotes team work within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.Sales involves assisting in establishing sales goals, assisting in developing and promoting a marketing plan, making proper recommendations and applications of products, sold, knowing prices of products and services, maintaining the current market share, and assisting in developing competitive marketing strategies.Assist in establishing sales goalsWork with management and employees to maintain these goalsResponsible for seed sales, purchases, deliveries and marginsAssist in developing and promoting a competitive marketing planMake proper recommendations and applications of products soldKeep resource manuals accessible and currentEnsure no product problems result due to your recommendationAttend all product updates and service training sessionsKnow prices of products and servicesMaintain current market shareLoose no customers due to careless performanceKeep all customers supplied with product Inventory involves analyzing and projecting customers’ seasonal needs and assisting the general and department managers in periodically evaluating the product line. Maintenance involves maintaining the company vehicle and equipment for maximum performance, efficiency, and appearance. Other Duties include upholding cooperative policies, perform other duties as assigned by the Agronomy Marketing Manager, and will enforce and uphold the cooperative’s credit policy. Notify the Agronomy Marketing Manager of any customer complaint or compliance issue Cooperate fully with the main business office to maintain accurate information for our customer base SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities with this jobPERFORMANCE MEASURES: To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
