Birdsall Grain & Seed, LLC a successful and growing seed and agronomy retailer is looking to hire an Agronomy Manager/Sales person to join our team. Candidate should be able to assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the company. Agronomy Manager/Sales Responsibilities:Handle chemical, fertilizer and seed salesOversee inventory and product flowKeep up to date on agronomic services and technologyWork directly with existing growers and work to gain new customers throughout the areaEnsure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations.Develop and update a regular maintenance schedule for all department facilities and equipment.Direct department marketing activities and strategies.Develop an annual sales and promotion program.Establish and achieve the departments profitability goals.Increase market share through regular sales effortsSet prices that are competitive with industry guidelines and local competitors.Set prices that allow the business to meet sales and financial objectives.Develop and maintain a system for monitoring and controlling inventory levels that results in minimal shrinkage.Supervise checking of all in-shipments for accuracy against the delivery ticket, proper quantity, price as ordered, and quality.Maintain inventories at levels to assure service with a minimum of delivery delays, yet maintain inventory turn goals.Coordinate safety programs and develop safety procedures.Assess Safety equipment and regulations, and represent the cooperative in dealings with safety agencies.Develop and maintain records to comply with environmental and other regulations and update as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree, or 2-year degree plus 2-5 years experience in Agronomy Sales/Management or related field5 years experience in an Agricultural related field.2 years experience Supervising.Knowledge in Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task.The ability to work well and organize a team.Must have valid Drivers License in order to operate company vehicles and equipment.The ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience as an Agronomy Manager is beneficial.
