We?re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.?Responsibilities:This position is part of a team who ensures Lilly follows the laws and regulations of the U.S. Federal Government specific to import and export compliance including, but not limited to trade into and from the U.S. and Puerto Rico. ???Scope includes monitoring regulation changes, establishing or maintaining written policies and procedures, creating awareness and training personnel, conducting internal assessments, and establishing or maintaining metrics. This area works with a variety of groups both inside and outside the company, such as supply chain, legal, finance, customer service, IT, R&D, manufacturing, procurement, third party vendors, outside counsel and many others. ??Key Responsibilities:Monitoring and Responding to Environmental Changes: Lilly operates in a continually changing business and regulatory environment. Actively monitor the internal and external environment to identify pending changes (e.g. new regulations, business acquisitions, organizational changes, etc.), evaluate and assess the compliance impact on Lilly, and work with a wide variety of business partners to create and implement solutions. The role may aid to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, U.S. Customs, OFAC, BIS and Other Government Agencies (i.e. FDA, EPA, USDA, USFW).?Maintaining Policy, Procedures, Processes and Ongoing Business Partnering: Executing updates, maintenance, and communication of policies and procedures that may result in regional, local, or business unit implications. Serve as liaison to build working relationships across Finance, Legal, Global Supply Chain, Global Logistics, Ethics & Compliance, and other Business areas and other relevant functions / stakeholders providing leadership and strategic direction to influence the evolution of procedures, change controls and local business processes. This will include leading or assisting with import/export projects or initiatives.Supporting Daily Import and Export Operations: Engaging business partners, third party vendors or suppliers to support the regulatory aspects of U. S. import export compliance. Executing technical aspects or requirements of trade such as HTS, classifications, valuation, origin, AES filing, etc. Executing training, metrics/dashboard, tracking, record keeping, power of attorney, contracts, and leveraging technology, etc. Supporting Duty Savings approach.?Supporting Daily Export Operations: Engaging business partners, third party vendors or suppliers to support the regulatory aspects of U.S. export compliance. Executing global export compliance as it relates to U. S. Sanctions, including, but not limited to restricted party screening, licenses, procedures, processes, etc. Executing global compliance approach as it relates U. S. Anti-boycott regulation. ?Executing Continuous Improvement: Executing continuous improvement strategies to enhance processes, procedures, and governance with prioritization input identified as higher risk or in need of improvement by Lilly, Elanco or Government specific audits or assessments.Basic Qualifications:?? ?Bachelor?s Degree ORAssociate's Degree and 2 years compliance experiences (preferably import/export)Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
