Sustainable agriculture is at the core of Monsanto. We develop technologies that enable farmers to produce more crops while conserving natural resources. Monsanto scientists are conducting research and development across multiple scientific disciplines to revolutionize plant breeding, biotechnology, and crop protection chemistries. The Chemical Analytics Program provides analytical chemistry support for all phases of Monsanto???s Chemistry product pipeline. The Product Development Analytics Platform within the Chemical Analytics Program is responsible for providing analytical chemistry support for the development of agricultural chemical products. The position is focused on performing chemical measurements on chemical reaction process streams. The primary techniques used in this work include, liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). Qualifications:Required Education/Experience: ??? Minimum of a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related field of study ??? Experience in analytical method development and validation (industrial or academic) ??? Hands-on experience with chromatography, mass spectrometry, and NMR ??? Self-motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills, and strong customer orientation Desired Education/ Experience: ??? Experience working with process chemists and engineers ??? Experience in the field of phosphorus chemistry analytics ??? Working knowledge of the following: FTIR, multivariate statistics, thermal analysis, particle size measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Who is Monsanto?
