We are seeking highly motivated Analytical Chemists for current and future roles. These positions are located in St. Louis, MO and will provide support for phases of our company???s product pipeline for the development of agriculture chemical products. Analytical Chemists are responsible for analytical testing of agricultural products with respect to product quality and performance. This role will involve working collaboratively to arrange and conduct testing supporting both current commercial products, as well as the development and advancement of formulation candidates. The work will not only require application of existing methods & instrumental techniques, but also the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance current capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Hands-on laboratory based volatility testing, physical testing, and chemical testing of new and existing formulations.Effective interfacing with not only those in R & D, but also others in IT, QA/QC, regulatory, marketing, and commercial.Providing technical reports and presentations to different groups and advancing the company-wide and industry adoption of new methodologies.Limited travel may be required to support testing of existing commercial products and new formulations candidates, as well as for the transfer of testing methodologies. Qualifications:Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of Bachelor???s degree in Chemistry or related field of study. Experience in liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC).Experience in mass spectrometry techniques such as LC-MS and GC-MS for the quantitation of low levels of analytes.Experience in sample preparation techniques to isolate low level analytes. Knowledge of experimental design and statistical methods.Scientific, yet practical approach to problem solving. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on cross-functional teams and to prioritize and manage the demands from multiple projects. Desired Skills/Experience: PhD or Master???s degree (or ability to obtain by February 2018) in Chemistry or related field of study. Prior experience in agricultural industry.Experience working in a greenhouse environment.Ability to manage large amounts of data.Ability to implement a data management system.Familiarity with agricultural product use rate calculations.
