Analyzer TechnicianLuling LA The primary function of an Analyzer Technician is to provide preventative maintenance on existing analyzer equipment. Assist with projects to improve reliability of existing and new analyzer equipment. An Analyzer Technician also calibrates, repairs and maintains the plant's Portable Gas Analyzers. The Analyzer Technician will have the opportunity to work with to other technicians, engineers, and other support personnel to ensure timely feedback, corrections and process updates are addressed. Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate good troubleshooting skills in a specific area of responsibility, as well as a broad interest in other areas. You will be given multiple opportunities for professional development by handling engineering and special assignments that go beyond specific responsibilities. An Analyzer Technician is responsible for the following:Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly PM checks on existing equipmentResponsible for off hour support Perform analysis to improve analyzer reliabilityMaintain maintenance records on all analyzersProvide data log reports and maintenance records as necessary to the Industrial Hygiene DepartmentRecord keeping of safety and environment critical analyzers for use by Monsanto and agency auditorsCarries out routine monitoring and checking to maintain high, on stream availability factors of all analyzer systems. Reporting problems and solutions to the area process control engineersReceive instructions through the WCM process to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, replace or overhaul of Analyzer Probes and Sensors on a plant wide basis. Carries out modifications, changes, and data collection of Analyzers and sample systemsPerforms routine checks of sample handling systems and Calibration Gas Cylinder replacementsEnsure that all the work is carried out in accordance with the safe working procedures, safety permits and regulations Assisting Manufacturing Technologist with Nuclear density probes, Turbidity and Laser analytical systemsQualifications:Technical:3-5 years of demonstrated experience with analyzersStrong knowledge of process analyzers, including their application, design, communication protocols and wiring methodsRead, understand and develop drawings, schematics, and connection diagramsDevelop design standards, procedures and training materialsEvaluate and select suppliers for specific analyzer applicationsGood Electronic Troubleshooting skillsElectronic component level troubleshootingReplace electronic components & soldering Computer Skills:Using Aspen Process ExplorerUsing SAP for executing WCM requirementsUsing Schedulesource??? for call out status reportingUse Microsoft Office programs to efficiently and effectively convey informationUse engineering software to monitor analyzer performanceApply for this job.
