Reporting to the Supervisor, Retail Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable Representative, Retail, Customer Service will be responsible for professionally and promptly addressing incoming inquiries (email and phone) from field employees, corporate employees, and supplier representatives regarding a wide variety of Accounts Payable issues.What you will do: Communicate promptly and professionally with suppliers regarding status of invoices, check requests, and utility payments and with internal users regarding Accounts Payable TAP processing questions and issues.Research open items through TAP, PeopleSoft, and other accounting systems, identifying root cause of issues, and providing recommendations for resolution.Work with other Accounts Payable functional teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.Coordinate with various stakeholders including on shore and off shore Accounts Payable, Operations, Finance, and Supplier representativesAssist with critical business account issues in an expedited fashion, engaging appropriate personnelAny other job responsibilities as required at the Company’s discretionWhat you will bring:High School Diploma / GED requiredAssociate’s degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred2-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable requiredCustomer Service call center experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and OutlookStrong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, specifically procurement and accounts payable process workflowStrict attention to detail, developed problem solving skills, logical & critical thinking skills, high personal accountabilityExperience and/or comfort with computer systemsSelf-motivated. Ability to manage own time to achieve deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively where necessary in a team environmentAbility to work in high pressure environment with competing deadlinesDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
