Area Sales Manager – San Joaquin Valley
We are seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven Area Sales Manager, San Joaquin Valley to join our Western US sales team. The qualified person will be responsible for all agricultural sales activities, from lead generation through after-the-sale / account support in an assigned territory. The ASM will achieve revenue targets through customer prospecting, strategic relationship development and customer support in order to develop loyal customers and achieve sales targets. Responsible to identify prospects and help develop a plan to capitalize on accounts through both direct sales and sales through distribution channels.Manage multiple priorities across diverse projects.Prospect new customers and grow business with established customers.Execute and manage product demonstrations with growers, CCA's and PCA's under the direction and following protocols established by the Director of Field Trials and Nutrition.Assist with administration of Concentric's R & D efforts through support of trials with third party researchers and extension agents.Provide excellent client services from pre-sale through post-sale activities and support.Possess detailed knowledge of products offered and educate end users on the value of the products.Work collaboratively within the sales team.Attend trade shows and conventions as needed.Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and results driven.Must be able to manage multiple priorities across diverse projects.Computer literate with all Microsoft products to include Word and Excel as well as possessing familiarity with CRM software. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills needed especially with customers and other partners.Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Must have a B.S. in Agronomy, Life Sciences, Horticulture, Agriculture or related field.Minimum of 5 years related field and business-to-business sales experience needed. Negotiation of distribution agreements, management of distribution agreements and conflict resolution at all levels required.Familiarity with high value fruit, vegetable and berry crops is required along with a good knowledge of local territory growers.Agronomy experience specific to supporting growers transitioning from conventional to organic farming with an emphasis on bio-rational products and farming methods would be an added plus.Apply for this job.
