Area Sales Manager
Details: Praxair Distribution, Inc., a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., a Fortune 250 company that supplies atmospheric, process, medical and specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services & technologies is seeking an Area Sales Manager (ASM) for the Western PA, Western NY, Eastern OH, and WV area. An ASM is responsible for managing and retaining existing accounts within a defined geographic area and gaining new business at various types of medical facilities that utilize bulk and packaged medical gases. The ASM will further support the Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) Account Manager at large healthcare systems located within the ASM’s area. It is anticipated the ASM will allocate 65-80% of their time managing the area from a home office. The remaining balance of this individual’s time will be spent in the field meeting with active and prospect accounts. Area Sales Manager Promotes sales of bulk and/or packaged medical gases within assigned area Strong emphasis on retaining existing business and maintaining positive customer relationships Utilization of CRM tool and Sales Funnel to document customer interaction, sales follow-up, contacts, etc. Responsible for contractual renewal and share gain at existing, non-IDN designated accounts Understands and communicates the Praxair Healthcare value proposition Gains long term relationships by negotiating multi-year product supply agreements with new accounts Accountable for providing complete and accurate account set-up and pricing data Resolution and follow-up at slow-pay accounts working with ASM’s designated collections representative Promotes technology offerings in a strategic manner for competitive advantage and optimum gross margin Praxair offers the following to qualified Area Sales Managers – competitive salary + sales incentive plan (SIP), 401K, full benefits, tuition reimbursement, company car as determined necessary, laptop and cell phone.Apply for this job.
