Area Seed Manager – Division
Area Seed Manager for Michigan and Ohio?SUMMARY:? Manages sales activities ensuring that the company?s objectives and goals are implemented according to policy by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.?ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:?Works with Branch Managers and Division Manager establishing goals and direction for Division Seed Business.?Develops Division long term plans for Division seed business, as well as needed forecasts.?Provides sales direction to Branches consistent with the Division, and Corporate plans.?Works with Division Managers and Sales Managers to develop seed sales and profit objectives by Division and Location.?Provides direction to Purchasing Manager(s) on direction established with Division Managers/BU/Corporate.?Work with Purchasing Managers, Buyers, Branch and Division Managers on inventory goals.? Provides program information and summaries to Branch and Division Management.?Works with Division and Sales Managers developing better Branch awareness of their current seed market share and market share goal.?Identifies training needs of Divisions/Branches consistent with our growth goals for Divisions. Organize and implement seed training with Division/Sales Managers.?Provides assistance in developing understanding of seed vendor profitability.?QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:? Bachelor?s degree in an agricultural related field and five years of experience in agricultural sales and 2 years of supervisory experience.?OTHER SKILL and ABILITIES:?Excellent written and verbal communication skills.?Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications.?Excellent knowledge of seed varieties and seed markets?Basic knowledge of farming operations.?Supervisory skills.?PHYSICAL DEMANDS:?
