The Team Lead will lead a staff of production employees and coordinate the internal and the external resources to ensure a safe and smooth operation of product manufacturing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Maintain standards in the areas of housekeeping, safety, attendance, operational discipline, process, safety management, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Responsible for communications up and down the line and for assuring that communications from team members are accurate and completeSupport the oversight of harvest, receiving, bulk load out, conditioning, bagging, and warehousing operation to maximize material flow and process efficienciesMonitor and ensure adherence to standard workMonitors product quality and ensures activities meet the requirements of the Quality PlanBecome knowledgeable of the process order processEnsure direct materials are staged for next process order (tags, bags, boxes, treatment, etc.)Assist in managing bulk and bagged seed inventoriesAssist with product movement activitiesEnsure operator Preventative Maintenance is completedSupports forward plans for oncoming shiftEnsure availability of equipment and materialsProvide input and assistance to supervisor when planning capital or focus improvement projectsProvide input for workforce planning and development schedulingEnsure appropriate records, documents, or reports are completed as assignedSupport continuous improvement and special projects as assignedWill work as Production Technician as directedSupport the adherence to safety, quality, and site policiesDuring peak season (September-March) the Wahpeton production plant runs two-eight hour shifts five days per week. Based upon demand, shift hours may be extended/added. When the peak season is over we stagger down shifts the remaining months of the year.Qualifications:The following are required:High School Diploma/GED 2-4 years on the job related manufacturing, operations, production, agricultural, or related experienceGood communication & interpersonal skillsAbility to lift 55 lbs, work in elevated areas, and repetitive motion with or without reasonable accommodationKnowledge of computer use such as Microsoft office and other software programs as neededWilling and able to work overtime nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredWilling and able to work in a variety of environments including indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, and dusty conditionsThe following are preferred:Supervisory experience across multiple production processes and leadership skillsExperience with SAP or equivalent Manufacturing Operations softwareForklift operations and/or willingness to learnExperience with LEAN Manufacturing operations and projectsExperience with problem solving and implementation of solutions and corrective actionsWe are excited to announce that Corteva Agriscience? is the name of the new Agriculture Division of DowDuPont?.
