In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant operations and field activities that will evolve with each season throughout the year. You will be responsible for leading teams and process areas in setting up and monitoring highly automated equipment for various processes such as harvest, conditioning, treating, and packaging. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:?Maintain standards in the areas of housekeeping, safety, attendance, operational discipline, process, safety management, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Responsible for communications up and down the line and for assuring that communications from team members are accurate and complete?Support the oversight of harvest, receiving, bulk load out, conditioning, bagging, and warehousing operation to maximize material flow and process efficiencies?Monitor and ensure adherence to standard work?Monitors product quality and ensures activities meet the requirements of the Integrated Operations Management System?Become knowledgeable of the process order process?Ensure direct materials are staged for next process order (tags, bags, boxes, treatment, etc.)?Assist in managing bulk and bagged seed inventories?Assist with product movement activities?Ensure operator Preventative Maintenance is completed?Supports forward plans for oncoming shift?Ensure availability of equipment and materials?Provide input and assistance to supervisor when planning capital or focus improvement projects?Provide input for workforce planning and development scheduling?Ensure appropriate records, documents, or reports are completed as assigned?Support continuous improvement and special projects as assigned?Act as a lead for field operations each summer?Will work as Production Technician as directed?Support the adherence to safety, quality, and site policiesAt this site, during our peak packaging portion of the year, we run operations on a 24/7 schedule with four shift teams on 12 hour shifts using a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off rotation. During spring and summer months we stagger down to one day shift team.Qualifications:The following are required: ?High School Diploma/GED?2-4 years on the job related manufacturing, operations, production, agricultural, or related experience or 2-4 years of leadership/supervisory experience?Good communication & interpersonal skills?Ability to lift 50 lbs., work in elevated areas, and repetitive motion with or without reasonable accommodation?Knowledge of computer use such as Microsoft office and other software programs as needed?Willing and able to work overtime nights, weekends, and holidays as required?Willing and able to work in a variety of environments including indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, humid, and dusty conditionsThe following are preferred:?Supervisory experience across multiple production processes and leadership skills?Experience with SAP or equivalent Manufacturing Operations software?Forklift operations and/or willingness to learn?Experience with LEAN Manufacturing operations and projects?Experience with problem solving and implementation of solutions and corrective actionsWe are excited to announce that Corteva Agriscience? is the name of the new Agriculture Division of DowDuPont?.
