This Assistant Manager will follow all bio-security procedures and ensure that all care is provided with respect to customer, client and co-workers rights and also ensure a safe and clean work environment maintain confidentiality adhere to work schedules in completing and performing assigned tasks Duties and Responsibilities to include:Overall care of birdsManage and oversee daily responsibilities of Layer House People and Layer Maintenance PeopleMonitor computer for all house vitals (water, air, feed)Responsible for weighing and bleeding birdsOversee clean out procedures for new flocksOversee Layer bird crew activitiesCollect, compile and distribute production dataReport all Layer site activity to Layer Site ManagerResponsible for daily safety roundsResponsible for daily record keeping on computerReport completion of all daily activities to layer manager on a daily basisOversee all bird moves and crew activities along with molting proceduresMaintain monthly employee work schedulesFollow all OSHA safety regulations and proceduresPerform Layer House Person s duties and responsibilities when necessaryResponsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits.Responsible for implementing and maintaining the American Humane Care certification level and the FDA safe Egg rule and programs and plans affiliated with themMonitor and maintain egg inventory databases and relay them to marketing DepartmentPerform other tasks as assigned??ALL INQUIRIES ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.
