Assistant Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:  Assists the Warehouse Manager in directing the operations of the warehouse by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Assists in invoicing tickets, credit memos and other related computer duties.Supervises truck routing including contacting customers, suppliers and other related concerns.Assists in inventory control including monitoring receivers, customer orders, and general duties associated with inventory control.Assists the Warehouse Manager in monitoring and implementing supplier programs.Assists in monitoring equipment maintenance and care including month-end reports on mileage, driver reports and other required reports.Assists Warehouse Manager in employee supervision including direct supervision of drivers and completion of semi-annual and annual job reviews.Assists Warehouse Manager with month-end closing activities including verification of invoices, inventory count and proper month-end reports.Provides back-up to truck drivers and to secretary of location when necessary.Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.Reliable and regular attendance is expected.  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assists in supervising warehouse personnel and truck drivers. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
