Associate Director, Programs & ServicesCalifornia Fresh Fruit Association______________________________________________________________________________ QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree; agricultural background preferred. Knowledge of event planning and execution including multi-day events held at various destinations; experience with major hotels preferred. Knowledge of agricultural industry including trade, marketing, grants and seasonality of commodities that the California Fresh Fruit Association represents a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer literacy with experience working with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Excel; analytical ability; ability to deal with broad spectrum of issues. REPORTABILITY: Issue specific. Reports directly to the president. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Programs Annual meeting preparation and execution including fundraising, soliciting contributions, designing all materials and overseeing contractingManagement of Committees including Board of Directors and Executive Committee (In coordination with the president) Mentors Committee, Nominating Committee, Suppliers Party Committee (in coordination with Annual Meeting)Special events/Board of Directors meetings including contracting, communications coordination and executionHarvest and FruitPAC event support, including donation requests from contracted partnersDesign of: Annual Meeting materials including but not limited Program, Annual Membership Meeting Program, Signage, website graphics, email communications, Roster Cover (as needed), Annual Report, Executive Committee & Board of Directors Meeting Materials including signage and meeting packets Assist with Communications: newsletters, press releases, website updates as neededAssist with Membership recruitment effortsContracting for group meetings2. Support Tradea. Under the supervision of the Trade Director, assist in the planning and implementation of agricultural export programs;Preparation of registration materials, workbooks, presentations and drafting documents for electronic submission and receipt for industry.Assist in developing and maintaining daily schedules for inspection activities and communicating information to participating facilities.Coordinating and arranging housing, lease space and transportation for visiting regulatory officials.Data entry (Excel and Access) to assist in the compilation of statistical information; commodity exports, carton volumes and participant information for mid-season and annual reports.Some travel within Central San Joaquin Valley Counties SALARY: Based on experienceApply for this job.
