Associate Marketing Manager – Cargill Protein Group
Cargill Protein is a leader at delivering primary processed and value added proteins into the Foodservice, Retail and Manufacturing market channels. It operates several food processing facilities located in the US and Canada. Our customers in Foodservice are comprised of large national restaurant chain operators, contract feeding companies and both national and regional foodservice distributors. Our Retail customers are comprised of primarily large national grocery retailers and warehouse clubs. Our Manufacturing customers are comprised of large branded manufacturers of retail consumer packaged goods. The Associate Marketing Manager will support and execute strategies to build a brand and product portfolio through deep channel, customer, and consumer knowledge to create sustainable profitable growth Key responsibilities will be to support key initiatives to enable product line strategy including supporting the development of marketing strategy, contributing to identifying and initiating new product opportunities, supporting the development of brand portfolio and communications planning, helping to guide product positioning, assessing product portfolio needs and developing sales activation tools and plans. Support the Marketing Manager and collaborate across product line teams to ensure execution of product line strategy.
30% Execute Marketing Strategy and Plans: Execute marketing strategies for product portfolio aligned with the Channel strategy and customer segmentation. Create and validate winning value propositions for new products, creating marketing plans and implementing launch plans. 25% Innovation and New Product Development: Support work to translate insights into growth opportunities, establishing category growth drivers for new product development opportunities. Support development of concepts, business case and commercialization plans. Work closely with R&D and Insights to understand and identify opportunities, both consumer and customer and create a pipeline of market based innovation concepts. Collaborate with Insights to create project specific research plans and to execute on the portfolio market research plan 30% Brand Portfolio and Communications Strategy: Execute marketing strategy and plans for brands and product portfolio. Support channel brand management, including development of new brands, executing brand communication strategy, and managing agency relationships 15% Customer and Channel Focus: Support customer segmentation and Sales coverage with selling tools and support materials. Active engagement with Cargill sales team to support growth opportunities, provide tailored marketing presentations, develop sales activation tools, and address customer specific marketing needs.
