In addition, Zoetis will never ask candidates to make any type of personal financial investment related to gaining employment with Zoetis.Associate Medical Director, Global Diagnostics Product Management & Innovation (PMI)Position Overview:The Associate Medical Director, Global Diagnostics Product Management & Innovation (PMI), will play a significant role in providing medical technical leadership and expertise toward Diagnostics strategic planning, new product planning (including any necessary market development and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management needed) and lifecycle planning for the Diagnostics area. The Associate Medical Director will partner with Veterinary Medicine Research & Development (VMRD) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to advance Diagnostic assets through research and development milestones. He/she will also support the in-line Diagnostics franchise globally and serve as a central Medical point of contact.
The Associate Medical Director will be a key member of the Diagnostics cross-functional Global Asset Teams (GATs), VMRD and Business Development (BD) led project teams. The Associate Medical Director will develop and maintain relationships with KOLs to meet Diagnostics area asset and lifecycle planning needs. He/she will work closely with the PMI Commercial Leads and Product Managers, as well as engage with Commercial Development & Lifecyle Innovation (CDLCI) Medical and Commercial Leads. For new products, the Associate Medical Director is responsible for managing medical related global launch activities in collaboration with VMRD including, development of medical technical documentation for use in the markets and the medical component of the global launch plan such as disclosure planning. In addition, he/she will partner with lead markets to ensure that data needs for successful launches are communicated to VMRD and incorporated into either Regulatory studies or other studies to be leveraged at launch. The Associate Medical Director will also play a key role in lifecycle planning for new and key in-line products.
As a leader in the Zoetis organization, the Associate Medical Director, models Zoetis core beliefs and communicates the importance of conducting business in a manner consistent with Zoetis values and behaviors. He/she reports to PMI Senior Director, Team Leader Diagnostics Innovation. Key Accountabilities: * In collaboration with VMRD, the Global Commercial Leads, and the lead markets, support and execute the long-term Diagnostics strategy. * Ensure Diagnostics new product medical technical competency of Medical colleagues in the markets and support new launches. * In collaboration with VMRD and the Global Commercial Leads, create a market development plan and publication plan for new Diagnostic assets so that new products and technologies are properly positioned and data is available when determined to be most beneficial. * Support SCAn and StAnD milestones for pipeline products. Participate in preparing and presenting Diagnostic area reviews and business updates to Senior Management. * Collaborate with Business Development (BD) to identify potential acquisitions that are consistent with established Diagnostics strategy.
* Track emerging Diagnostic technologies and competition.
Qualifications and Experience: These qualifications, experiences and skills are highly desirable; however, they do not preclude exceptions based on an individual”s performance history and demonstrated potential.
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. Bovine experience desirable. * 10+ years of country level experience providing Medical support to Marketing and a proven record demonstrating successful new product launches. * Knowledge of the product development process. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence without authority.
* Strong individual leadership presence. * Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Ability to oversee complex, cross-functional projects that require input from many internal and external stakeholders. * Strong computer skills (MS Office and ability to learn Zoetis systems)Ability to interact with/influence Senior Management with confidence and conviction.
