SUMMARY: This entry level management position is responsible for learning all aspects of supervising various areas of live production. This position will work under an experienced supervisor to gain the necessary training needed by working at the hatchery, feed mill, with breeders, broilers, live haul and the plant. This position will also work with operation support departments such as Human Resources, Accounting, Maintenance, etc. and may require the holder to work various shifts during the training phase in order to learn additional facets of the operations. Other duties include ensuring that all product quality and safety processes are being followed consistently, promoting a safe work environment, and performing other responsibilities as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent or 3 years of work experience. Poultry Operations degree or other agricultural related degree is preferred. Experience: Experience is not required, but farm back ground is preferred and mechanical abilities are a plus. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are preferred, but not required. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Travel: Some travel may be required to attend training classes. Special Skills: Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn and the ability to lead others; Must have or be able to obtain a class E license and have a good driving record. Must live within 30 miles of the Complex and must have the ability to climb a 20-foot ladder, work in dusty conditions, and to lift 70 pounds with or without accommodations.
