ADM Nutrition This is a full time, exempt position
The purpose of this position is to provide support to scientist in the R&D analytical lab.
The candidate will have strong work ethics, flexibility to accommodate rapid changing priorities and ability to work independently. KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
BS or Associate degree in chemistry or related field with 1-3 years of experience in the Food/Chemical industry.Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation including GC, HPLC, GC/MS is desiredHighly motivated individual with desire to learn new technologies as required by the jobGood communication, verbal and writing skills.Analytical and problem solving skills.Detail-oriented.Computer skills- user knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Time management skills.Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team as well as cross-functional environment. DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
Assist senior laboratory members in sample preparation, loading and operating instrumentation as LC, GC, GC/MS and others.Willingness to learn new laboratory techniques to assist senior laboratory members and act as backup as needed.Perform all duties related to lab organization, including administrative activities like receiving samples, assigning lab codes, cataloging and organizing reagent cabinets, ordering supplies, sample shipping etc.Perform all duties related to maintaining a clean and organized laboratory ensuring integrity and safety. These activities include cleaning and re-stocking glassware according to proper procedures, assist in preparing mobile phases, sample preparation and/or other light laboratory duties. Maintain high quality records.
