SUMMARY: This position supports Tyson's Distribution group through data analysis and motor carrier contract management. It produces a variety of reports and data used within the company's distribution and Sales networks, and develops reports in answer to specific inquiries. It serves as a resource for TMS (Transportation Management systems) in support of daily transportation functions, and is a point of contact for motor carriers, as well as internal roles which may need assistance on supply chain process, function, cost, or configuration issues.Specific duties include performance of cost impact analysis on proposed motor carrier contract changes, and ensuring that all rate agreements are properly contracted and maintained. The position is responsible for compiling and distributing monthly KPI data on outside carrier performance, which is a central component of carrier selection and management strategies within the transportation network. The position takes an active role in new carrier contracting and onboarding processes, and facilitates timely carrier setup with vendor control.REQUIREMENTS:Education: Associates Degree or equivalent. Bachelors' degree preferred.Experience: 3+ years in a business or office environment required.
