Automation Technician 7
SUMMARY:,,This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. The Automation Technician will perform high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair, assist engineering and plant staff with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Training beyond high school including either: an Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience which may include Skilled Trades programs or military training. Experience: Minimum of 4 years automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience; proven good safety and attendance record along with strong interpersonal skills. Computer Skills: Competent in Windows-based software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word; strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques; must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance. (If installed at the facility.) Communication Skills:High level verbal communications, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Certification: Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus. Other Skills: Demonstrated skills in the area of AC/DC circuits, industrial electrical systems, and required experience in electrical safety and lockout/tagout processes and procedures; knowledge in the theory and application of electronic devices, such as industrial semiconductors, solid-state drives and industrial control systems; experience in the troubleshooting and operation of PLC systems and microprocessors; ability to utilize computer hardware and Windows-based software in the creation and management of useful information; working knowledge and skills in tools and components used in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems such as bearings, gears, clutches, belts, and seals; and Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
