PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Safely operate various types of heavy duty material handling and moving equipment while performing tasks including unloading of barges and railcars, and loading trucks to meet customer needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Safely operate various types of equipment related to the unloading, loading, and transfer of fertilizer including conveying equipment, barge unloader, and various support equipment.
Performs loading and unloading of product functions safely and efficiently while minimizing spillage and degradation.
Inspects and performs general preventative maintenance activities, repairs and cleaning of equipment.? All equipment should be ready for use and be in good condition at all times.
Accurately document information generated in support of operations to include but not limited to:? operations, maintenance inspection, and safety related reports.?
Maintains operating equipment, facility grounds, and maintenance buildings to a high standard that portrays a positive image of the facility to all areas.? Clean work areas, mow the grass, and allow no littering on the facility grounds.

Ensure customers are served professionally by providing timely, responsive, and adaptable customer service.
Comply with all training, environmental, health, and safety programs.
Follows GROWMARK?s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof.
Prefer general knowledge and understanding of facility operations, industrial equipment operation, and barge unloading/loading.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.
Frequently exposed to the following conditions:? Extreme weather (hot, cold, wet, etc.), noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safely measures.
May be required to work at varying heights and confined spaces.
Must be able to lift 71-100 lbs.
Will be required to work extended hours ?
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK?s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.?
