At Bayer you have the opportunity to be part of a culture where we value the passion of our employees to innovate and give them the power to change.Bayer Crop Science Crop Protection Senior Sales Specialist Western Montana TerritoryYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role, Bayer Crop Science Senior Sales Specialist (Western Montana Territory), are to: Maintain territory sales at or above the established sales goal;Develop and utilize selling skills to identify and satisfy customer needs;Develop and maintain an accurate territory profile. This information is used to plan activities and promotional efforts. This business plan functions as a market plan for the territory;Routinely call on key customers and influence leaders (as designated in customer base) to increase consumer demand for Bayer Products;Establish and maintain accurate, up-to-date customer call records. Evaluates all customers based upon potential and probability. Classify accounts based upon potential and probability. Classify accounts based on this equation and develop and follows a strategic work or travel plan that ensures contact with all key accounts every four to six weeks;Organize and conduct Bayer Product Training for customers and their clients and assists in the development of selling skills and product knowledge. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications: A College Degree with eight years of previous sales experience;The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing also must be demonstrated;Presentation skills are also vital to this position as many group presentations are necessary;Professional use of audio and video equipment is necessary;Computer competency is a position requirement, including Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Presentation software expertise;Proven leadership capabilities to assist in leading meetings, identifying gaps in business opportunities and influencing outcomes;Has an established presence in the assigned market/district;Displays an understanding of effective sales skills demonstrated by repeated sales performance of year-after-year, meeting or exceeding sales performance;Basic planning and organizational skills are required under limited supervisor. These include administrative skills and demonstration of a sense of responsibility. Candidates must reside within the Western Montana Territory.
