Responsibilities IncludeScaling up products/processes from laboratory to commercial scaleincreasing fermentation yield, increasing cell densityincrease cell robustness and stability of cell cultures.Planning and executing test productions andExecuting Management of Change validation proceduresDesign process strategies to maximize asset utilization Create basic data packages for product commercialization In alignment with these responsibilities, it would be helpful but not critical for the Engineer to be familiar with Industrial fermentation practices/trends and current with trending literature,Downstream processing including freeze drying, liquid/solid separation techniques and dry powder handling and blending.Qualifications:QualificationsEducation- Degree in relevant field of study (Including but not limited to, Food Science, Biochemical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology)PhD preferredMasters + 3 years of experience preferredBachelors + 5 years of experience preferredRelevant experiences would include but not limited to fermentation product development and commercialization, cGPM operations, statistical process optimization, Pilot scale fermentation optimization. Technical Skill setBasic knowledge of cell physiologyBasic Engineering skills such as mass Balance/ heat energy balanceBasic knowledge of the following unit operations, Fermentation, lyophilization, liquid solid separations including first principles, pumping, CIP systems, homogenization, heat exchangers, pasteurizers.Basic statistical techniques to evaluate variables on product performance criteria Technical report writing to communicate findings in an impactful manner Collaborative Skill set Operate in Globally diverse team environment with full adherence to the organizations core values including Respect for people and Safety, ethical behavior and environmental stewardship. Must demonstrate strong verbal, written, analytical skills as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and managementListening and facilitating skills to work within a diverse, multinational work environmentApply for this job.
