We are seeking a highly qualified individual to be a part of strategy and operations support. The Strategy & Operations team is responsible for effective processes to support portfolio management, resource management, process alignment and improvement and organizational flow of information. The successful individual will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and be required to communicate effectively and proactively in a fast-paced cross-functional matrix environment across diverse teams. The Functional Operations Lead will work with senior leadership across the matrix to establish and communicate strategy, and ensure that all operations are aligned with the strategy. The position will support global Biotechnology-API operations, ensuring resources are aligned with program goals, and processes are in place to enable teams to work effectively together and with collaborators to achieve our key results. The Functional Operations Lead will build and manage financial metrics (including LRP, forecasting and budget), work with teams to establish and measure KPIs, and communicate project status and results through partner interface. Key Responsibilities: Actively formulating and communicating strategy with key stakeholders Establishing and maintaining effective business processes to support strategy Developing LRP, cost center budgets, and capital plans Managing budgets and ensuring effective use of funds through the development and use of analytics Identifying new opportunities or partners to advance the pipeline Establishing and maintaining effective communications with stakeholders and partners Championing people development, employee engagement, and a culture that promotes successQualifications:Required Skills/Experience: Minimum of Bachelor???s degree in science, engineering or business Minimum of five or more years of related work experience Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining an overall business vision and objective Track record of success driving projects or processes cross-functionally Experience developing and executing strategic plans while optimizing resource utilization Prior experience managing financial projections and/or budgets Strong written and oral communication and organization skills, with a proven ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to diverse audiences including expert and non-technical audiences Proven ability to drive decision making through influence in a highly demanding and agile environment Strong team skills and comfort working in a matrix environment Ability to identify, respond and independently work through varying requirements and/or demands relating to internal/external customers Desired Skills/Experience: Master???s degree or PhD in science, engineering or business Track record of successfully evaluating and developing pipeline and process improvements Demonstrated creativity in defining challenging exploratory projects and developing solutions Strong exposure to life sciences or agriculture industry Prior experience in a global role Trained or certified in PPRM, PMO, Lean, and/or Six Sigma Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
