Founded in 1818, the company is headquartered in White Plains, New York.Bunge North America (BNA) has a unique opportunity for individuals to join the BNA team and participate in a comprehensive training program designed to give an understanding of the operations and processes of Bunges value chain. Over an eighteen to twenty-four month time frame, successful candidates will receive regionally based cross functional exposure to a number of processes and practices while performing various and diverse operational functions. Trainees will develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide a solid foundation for future opportunities in all aspects of operational processes.Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be placed into a full time position (Crush supervisor, refined oil Supervisor, Maintenance manager, Safety coordinator, etc.) that complements both the needs of the company and the employees strengths.Essential FunctionsTrainees will actively demonstrate their understanding of the principles surrounding Bunges safety policies and practices and will fully involve themselves in active support and dissemination of those policies and practices.Trainees will participate fully in the day to day physical operation of a Bunge facility to gain understanding and mastery of fundamental operations and processes.Operations and processes trainees will be expected to master include safely and efficiently loading and unloading raw materials and products, preparation of raw materials for crush or milling, solvent extraction, refining or milling of crush or extraction products, and the practices and techniques needed to safely and efficiently maintain facilities.Trainees will, from time to time, demonstrate their level of understanding by responding to verbal or written inquiries from supervisors and corporate personnel.Trainees may for a period of time be required to travel to other Bunge locations for instructional purposes and to meet business needsAssist location and corporate staff in evaluating changing operational conditions and communicate findings to appropriate personnel in a timely fashion.Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and co-workers.Skill/Experience RequirementsEngineering, Technical, Ag Mechanization or similar degreeGood problem solving skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and constant changeExceptional verbal and written communication skillsMust be well organized, goal oriented and self-directedStrong analytical and problem solving skillsProficiency in standard PC applicationsStandard work hours 8 AM – 5 PM subject to adjustment as required by assignmentWillingness to relocate for future growth opportunities is requiredBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
