Role purpose Syngenta Flowers, a global leader in developing new flower for consumers gardens, is looking for the right person to own and grow smaller, entrepreneurial consumer brand from ideation through execution as we broaden our capabilities to revolutionize the consumer experience. This person must demonstrate a passion to create joy for the consumer as a means to capture value for our company and the entire value chain.Accountabilities.Responsible for project management around consumer brand life cycle including development of innovative value capture models, business case development, forecasting, tracking of performance metrics and building 3rd party relationships as a source of innovation.Aid in creation of 3-5 year retail strategy including consumer digital and e-Commerce going forward.Wake up each day with a strong desire to win at retail by working collaboratively with colleagues to bring innovation to the Lawn and Garden(L&G) shopperWorking with Retail Customer Leads (RCL), oversee ongoing business analysis of L&G space to ensure Syngenta Flowers is optimized to achieve performance goals. Set annual direction for retail sales through a tactical marketing plan, developed jointly with RCLs, for retail business including Create and manage annual retail budget
Retail segmentation, targeting, positioning
Targets by crop and program as they are adopted by retail and ensure input requirements tie into grower and broker account plans.Support the RCLs in the development of box account plans and targets with market research, standardized template and consolidation of data including contributing to KPIs and monitor them.Working with Distributor Account Managers, develop tools to facilitate engagement with channel partners around all consumer brands to secure buy-in and commitment for a successful brand launch.Work with Field Sales teams, to understand the needs of and secure buy-in of early adopters and influencers among key vendors for major retailersOwn all aspects of successful product launches that touch the consumer as part of Product Launch Teams(PLT). Oversee all consumer and retail marketing research activities. This includes analysis of consumer/retail/market data, define data gaps and how to fill them through more MR or other means.
Plan, prepare and implement consumer and shopper research programs; extract key market insights from complex data sets. Work to develop a method of sharing insights across Syngenta Flowers to ensure maximum value is derived from research and the voice of our consumer is heard daily across our business.Day to day leadership to define, quantify and consolidate retail needs and ensure they are communicated to relevant stakeholders (i.e. product managers, RCLs, global flower colleagues and the leadership team). As the voice of the L&G consumer, support new product introductions and ensure that retail and consumer needs are articulated to the PLTs and that any key L&G retail offers are aligned with product strategy. Follow-up on new product intros and measure campaign effectiveness by analyzing all elements of each brand or programDefine standardized method for capturing learnings from each Proof Of Concept pilot, etc. at retailers and disseminate across key teams and the entirety of Syngenta Flowers.Skills:
