Business Development and Sales Manager
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Refined Fuels Marketing department for a Business Development and Sales Manager.
You must be detail oriented, have strong analytical, collaborative and negotiating skills with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
You must be able to problem solve with creative solutions, work with limited direct supervision, be self-motivated, strategic and a team player.
To be successful you must have the ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. This is a home office position.
Candidate to preferably live in the Minnesota area. Sales territory to include: MN, Eastern ND & Western IA. You will:Grow Premium Diesel accounts throughout the current sales territories, new and commercial markets and over the road customers, meeting all sales targets and goals.Partner with District Manager, Certified Energy Sales Specialists and local sales to cold call on Premium and Diesel Fleet prospects.Establish contacts and commitments with current and new cooperative and independent customers within the assigned territory.Increase the usage of our Premium Diesel with our non-Premium Diesel customers.Prepare and deliver quality and impactful presentations to a variety of audiences and customers.Collaborate with the marketing team to create and establish market intelligence and support materials needed to grow the territories Premium Diesel?s sales goals.Build strong teamwork and relationships with external and internal customers and/or other departments.Identify and anticipate customer requirements, expectations and needs.Manage resources effectively, clearly defining priorities and expectations.Position CHS Energy as an industry expert in the field.Travel 70% with overnight stays.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s DegreeMust be available to travel 70% of their time within the designated (MN, Eastern ND & Western IA) territory.Preferred Qualifications: (desired)5 years sales experience to include industry specific sales experience with:Selling concepts, products and programs to a diverse customer baseNegotiating win-win business solutionsBuilding strong business relationships with customersProficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Map Point and AccessKnowledge of the cooperative system
